Cookie Policy
counthis.app uses as few cookies as possible, and only ones that are strictly necessary for the Service to work. Because of that we do not show a cookie banner.
Badges set no cookies
Badge images and the API never set or read cookies. Embedding a counthis badge on your page does not place any cookie on your visitors' devices.
Cookies on the website

Both are first-party, marked Secure and HttpOnly (unreadable by scripts), and set only when you sign in. They hold random identifiers, not personal information.
No tracking
We use no analytics, advertising, social media or other third-party cookies, and no similar technologies such as tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
Theme choice
If you switch the website to the light theme, your browser remembers that one choice in its local storage, on your device only. It is never sent to us, and switching back to the dark theme removes it. The website stores nothing else in your browser.
Paying by card
Card payments happen on Stripe's checkout and billing pages, on Stripe's own domain. Stripe's cookies and privacy policy apply there; we receive no cookies or tracking data from it.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them prevents signing in but does not affect badges.
Changes
If we ever need a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
